Walking Out of the Desert @ 8:51 PM
Suddenly received an email from my friend, it was a revelations I shared with my friends and cgm almost 4yrs back... Almost forgot abt it till I read his reply, on whether I'm still using my email acct. Be blessed! :)
Just want to share with everyone a revelation on walking out of the desert to encourage all of you in the midst of a dryness desert in your walk with God or even like when there's so much temptations in your life that draw you away from the leading of God...
I was praying a few days back when I ask God to lead me out of the desert... and God really show me a vision of a desert...
It's like when you are having a trip to a desert, you wil definately employ a guide to lead you through the desert, because they know the place well (in form of geographical), he is able to tell you where got water and where don't have and how much distant you have to walk before you are out of the desert etc...
So put yourself in a situation whereby you're lost, lacked of water in a desert (spiritual dryness), and the only person you can rely on is the guide (God). And the two of you are walking the way out of the desert, when you started to complain and grumble with the situation you are in. you will start to blame everything, including the guide. At different stages, times, you will start to have illusions of big and small pools of water around you to make you believe that what you saw infront is real water (Temptaions)!!!! Even when the guide tries to tell you what you saw is not true... But the guide will keep encouraging you to move on and tells you just have to overcome this and that, then you will be out of this place!!!!!
At this point, you have 2 choices, either you believe in what the guide tell you and put complete trust in him that he will surely lead you out, or you can make a choice of insist on following what you think is real...
If you choose the latter, the guide can only encourage you to believe in him and try hard to follow you wherever you go, just to make sure you can walk out of the desert safe and sound when you finally realise that the decision you've made is wrong and continue to trust in the guide again. By doing so, you will be stacked in your situation longer then what it was planned.
Remember even if you choose the latter, God had not given up on you right from the every start, He had remind faithful till the very end, hoping that you will someday, somehow realise the choice you've made is wrong and turn back to Him like the prodigal who repent from his sin and seek forgiveness from the father.
And if you choose the latter, it will be like have control over your mind and put complete trust in God without doubting and ask any question and believe only He can lead you out of the desert.
So which way will you choose? Hint:read Deut 30:19-20
