I was chatting with Enoch last night and remember sth which most of us... infact CHC Ushers... I was helping out in the Global Day of Prayers... and beside us were ushers from another church...
as some of us were ushering the zone just beside them, we get to see how they ushers etc... though not as systematic as us.. but believe they are doing their best to help.. and when it comes to prayers... our ushers were chatting away or staring in the blank... while they were praying and engaging to what is the main purpose of the night... PRAY!
Even back at church, some of the ushers, esp the young one. they will either be engaging to P&W that they don't care abt ushering, or they will be so stiff, when there's nothing to do, they will just stand still, stare in the blank... some will even sms or chatting with another ushers... and many many things I saw during the P&W, even the words... some fell asleep? and only awoke when someone walk out of the zone, and she usher them out...
Joining a ministry is cos we want to serve God just like Obed Edom, to seek His presence, let it not be a chance to take away our devotion to God!
has serving in a ministry took over the position of loving God? I too am guilty of that.. but I'm trying my best to position God back to original position He has in my life... is hard.. but am trying.. got to learn to keep relying on His strength rather than my own!
